ApplyClip is designed with a strict "Privacy-First" and "Offline-First" architecture.Local Storage Only: All data you enter into the Extension—including your personally identifiable information (Name, Email, Phone Number, URLs), text snippets, custom links, and job tracking history—is stored locally on your device using your browser's native chrome.storage.local API.
No External Servers: We do not own, operate, or rent any external databases or servers. Your data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to us or any third parties.
2. Website Content and User Activity

To function properly, the Extension requires permissions to monitor user activity (specifically, listening for your chosen keyboard shortcuts) and website content (reading job titles and descriptions on application portals like LinkedIn and Greenhouse).This data is processed locally on your machine in real-time to allow the auto-fill and job tracking features to work.
None of your browsing history, keystrokes, or screen data is ever recorded, logged, or sent over the internet by the Extension.
3. Third-Party Services

Because the Extension operates entirely offline and locally, we do not integrate with third-party analytics, trackers, or advertising networks. We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise transfer your data to outside parties under any circumstances.
4. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data remains on your device for as long as you keep the Extension installed. You have full control over your data:You can edit or delete any snippet, profile detail, or saved job directly from the Extension's Dashboard.
If you uninstall the Extension from your browser, all data associated with ApplyClip will be permanently deleted from your device by the browser.
5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
